I fear that Trump’s legacy will be quite bad. His manner and language are discrediting the ideas for change that are of critical importance. He is making is more difficult for the US to retreat to a strong, defensible position. In any case, retreat is the most difficult maneuver and Trump is just making it more difficult. Speak softly has always been good advice. Unfortunately, Trump doesn’t know how.
